Strategic Management of Large-Scale Innovation Funds: a Framework for Accelerating Technology Commercialization Across Emerging Industries

Abstract

To improve the support efficiency of large-scale innovation fund to commercialize emerging industry technology, the strategic management method is used to study the fund establishment objectives, the industrial investment orientation, an investment decision making framework, capital allocation management and a commercialization promotion path of the fund. The results indicate that large-scale innovation funds should use technology transformation as the basic guide to improve the precision of capital allocation by identifying tracks, evaluating values, giving in stages, adjusting portfolios, limiting risks and introducing scenarios, and help the cutting-edge technologies to mature from R&D verification to market application and industrial expansion.
